- Muscle tone loss that creates jowls

Facelift Surgery Details
Facelift surgery is designed to correct aging dilemmas, restoring a more rested, youthful appearance with uplifted contours and improved tone in facial skin and underlying muscle.
Facelift incisions typically begin at the hairline, above the temple and continue along the hairline to then end behind the ear. This allows Dr. O’Neill access to remove fat, tighten the underlying muscle tissue, and reduce sagging skin.
A second incision under the chin is sometimes necessary depending on the desired results. Shorter incisions with abbreviated techniques may be used if the patient’s skin tone is good and when fat in the neck or mid-face sagging will be corrected. Incision lines will continue to refine and fade for 1 year. Liposuction techniques may also be included to assist with removal of excess fat.
Swelling and bruising after your facelift surgery typically subsides within 2 to 4 weeks. Final results may be apparent in 1-2 months.
*As with any procedure and/or treatment the results may vary.
