ThermiRase Botox Alternative
ThermiRase targets and disables the facial nerves that cause glabellar frowning. Glabellar frown lines are the wrinkles that appear in between the eyes, sometimes referred to as the dreaded ’11s’. ThermiRase provides long lasting-to-permanent relaxation of the nerves that cause these frown lines.

How Does ThermiRase Work?
ThermiRase is a micro-invasive, nerve mapping procedure that works by precisely disabling the nerves that control the muscles that cause frown lines and forehead wrinkles. During the procedure, radio frequency energy is applied to selected nerves in order to disable them.
With ThermiRase™, Dr. O’Neill will map out nerve pathways and use a series of thermal lesions along those pathways to control the muscles that cause frown lines. Once the nerves are mapped out, Dr. O’Neill inserts the ThermiRF SmartTip probe with Injector Port under the skin and begins to create lesions along the mapped nerve pathway with radio frequency heat.
Lesioning is done in three steps:
- Stimulate/Locate the nerve
- Inject a drop of local anesthesia
- RF heat is applied for about a minute
This process is repeated several times until the patient is unable to make a frown. Each treatment lasts about 30 minutes and is performed under local anesthesia.
