What is Clear V?

Clear V uses the latest in laser technology with unique vein illumination to allow your clinician to precisely visualize and treat vessels, broken capillaries, spider veins, vascular lesions, and discoloration of your skin.

What can Clear V do for you?

Clear V will help restore your skin tone and color.  Broken capillaries and other visible vascular structures will be gently eliminated from the upper layer of your skin surface.  Unwanted vessels will be heated by the laser energy, break up beneath the skin and become less noticeable.

  • Rosacea (diffuse redness with red vessels or telangiectasias)
  • Spider veins (legs)
  • Vascular lesions (broken/enlarged capillaries)

  1. What areas can be treated?
    All areas can be treated.  Most popular are on the face, neck, chest and legs. It can be used on ALL skin types, and it is SAFE to receive during the summer months. 

     

  2.  How does the Clear V Vein Illumination work?
    The Clear V handpiece is uniquely designed to visualize veins beneath the skin’s surface with yellow or orange light which are seamlessly integrated into the handpiece.  This technology enhances visibility, allowing for a more thorough and effective treatment. 

     

  3. What will happen during the procedure?
    All patients and providers will use eye protection for the treatment. Laser energy will be delivered precisely to the area of your skin being treated. You may briefly feel a warm sensation as the laser pulses are absorbed by the unwanted vessels.  Your procedure may take a few minutes to half an hour depending on the area being treated. 

     

  4. What should I expect after the treatment?
    Each patient response can vary. Redness and swelling around the treated vessels are usually seen within a few minutes. A sunburn like sensation and a slight feeling of tenderness is normal and expected. Post treatment reactions tend to subside within 24-48 hours after the treatment. After 48 hours, the skin over the treated veins will look slightly red, purple, or bruised.  Sometimes the veins will look more visible than prior to treatment. This is normal. Within the first two to three weeks the redness and/or purple color will begin to fade. Each week, the color will become lighter, and the veins will become less noticeable. Expect optimal results to be noticeable about four weeks post treatment. 

     

  5. What will I need for aftercare?
    Avoid any sun exposure on the treated area for a minimum of 7 days after the procedure.  The area treated could be more prone to sunburn and pigmentation changes immediately post treatment.  Keep area covered and use sunblock SPF 30 or greater. To reduce discomfort after Clear V™ treatment, compression socks can be utilized. 

     

  6. How many treatments will I need?
    1-3 treatments. Subsequent treatments may be needed based on your provider’s recommendations.
