CoolSculpting The Neck Area - Charleston SC

CoolSculpting – Procedure for the Neck

For those individuals who are interested in removing unwanted fat, few non-invasive procedure options are available to choose from. It is always suggested to speak with your physician and dermatologist before undergoing any procedure that will change your body’s structure/appearance. CoolSculpting or Cryolipolysis utilizes extreme cool temperatures to help break down fat cells underneath the surface of the skin to help smooth out the surface and reduce signs of cellulite.

It has been scientifically proven through various different studies that subcutaneous fat cells are more prone to being affected by cold temperatures than any other tissue in the area.

  • Fat Cell Apoptosis – this is a natural reaction, which can also be looked at as a way to control cell death underneath the skin. When fat cells die, the body naturally figures out a way to eliminate the cells that have been damaged through the release of inflammatory mediators and cytokines.

  • Inflammatory Cells – These inflammatory cells will pretty much absorb and digest the dead cells after the CoolSculpting procedure takes place, therefore, offering a thinner layer of fat.

The Neck and Décolletage

Utilizing specific tools and techniques, the dermatologist can specify and target the area that is being affected. More often than not, people will want to utilize CoolScultping on their neck and décolletage to present a younger more refreshed appearance. With age, the eye region and neck area tends to start to droop, the elasticity in the skin begins to change, and fine lines and wrinkles start to present themselves.

This can be damaging to one’s self-esteem and can be countered quickly with a couple visits to the dermatologist. Although the effects of CoolSculpting are not permanent, they work very well in helping one achieve the desired look they are going for.
