How to Refresh Your Post-Summer Skin

While we will all be mourning the end of summer for a while, our skin is probably in need of some extra TLC to recuperate. It is a good idea to make an appointment with your provider to discuss your goals and treatment plan for at least the next 6 months. That may mean discussing skin care, lasers, body treatments, and injectables.

Before changing your spring/summer skincare regimen into a fall/winter correction product, let’s take the remaining summertime and give your skin the TLC it needs by hydrating and replenishing what we might have lost along the way. Keeping in mind, as the season changes, it is not only normal. It’s recommended to focus on correction and use those stronger, mountain-moving products to achieve the goals you and your provider are looking to hit.

HYDRAFACIAL

One of the best ways to start from scratch is to have one of our HydraFacials.  Hydrafacial is a non-invasive treatment that has instant as well as long-lasting results for any skin type and tone. In as little as 30 min or a 60-minute treatment, we can clean the skin, remove dead skin cells, extract impurities such as blackheads, and deliver hydration.  Skin-specific treatments are customized for you as your provider maps out your face and uses accelerated serums to optimize your treatment.

There is no discomfort or specific downtime associated with the treatment, although you may leave here a little bit pink. There is no wrong time to do Hydrafacial It is typically recommended to have the treatment done once a month. You can even elevate your experience with Hydrafacial and accompany it with a precision derma planning and jelly mask for an additional cost.

Custom Facials

Custom facial treatments are also a great way to treat your skin and restore natural beauty in about an hour’s time. Your provider will use and recommend products brought to you by notable names like ZO Skin Health, SkinCeuticals, and Skin Better. At O’Neill Plastic Surgery, we have only the best of the best, and we will recommend the right products for exactly what your skin needs.

SPF

It is important to continue to use your SPF daily, even if it is in your makeup. That means applying SPF when not at the beach, boating, or swimming at the pool. Apply before you go out walking, shopping, driving, or working. Remember that your skin will be impacted by UV rays no matter what, so protect it! At O’Neill Plastic Surgery, we have various protection products from ZO Skin Health, Skin Better, Skinceuticals, Color Science, and Elta MD. Talk to your provider about what might work best for you!
