How Does The PicoSure Work?
The PicoSure laser sends ultra-short pulses of photomechanical heat energy to shatter tattoo ink within the skin and reduce spots, scars, or lesions. Once the laser breaks apart the ink particles within the skin, the particles can be absorbed naturally in the body, resulting in overall clearance.
Treatments are very quick, about ten minutes each, so they can be easily scheduled around your routine. PicoSure laser treatments are scheduled six to eight weeks apart. For an average hand-sized tattoo, Dr. O’Neill estimates full clearance within 3 to 4 treatments.
