Our Top Three Pigmentation Treatments

Charleston area residents know that our summer extends weeks past Labor Day. While many of us love to live our September days out in the sun, October brings that harsh realization that those sun-soaked days have left us with brown spots and pigmentation. Fortunately, O’Neill Plastic Surgery offers a variety of pigmentation treatments to help even out your skin tone and diminish the look of sun damage. To help you usher in the autumn season, we’re offering 20% off Pigment Control Lasers this month! Here are some of our top pigmentation treatments to breathe new life into your skin:

Picosure Focus

PicoSure uses effective laser technology to even out pigmentation, revitalize skin, diminish acne scars, reduce wrinkles, and more. This technology, combined with the Focus Lens, allows microscopic, photomechanical reactions in the epidermis that communicate with the dermis, leading to increased collagen and elastin in the skin. This laser technology is effective at gently targeting and eliminating excess pigment without harming the surrounding skin, making it an ideal treatment for brown spots, melasma, sun damage, and more. The PicoSure Focus laser can be used on multiple areas of the body and enables skin revitalization with virtually no downtime.

 BBL HERO

The Picosure Focus isn’t the only one of our pigmentation treatments that has recently been upgraded. The improved BBL HERO takes the broadband light treatment from the original BBL and provides increased speed, shortened pulse width, high peak power, and twice the cooling capacity to help keep irritation away. These advancements mean that you are receiving 1,200 to 1,500 pulses in a single face session versus 250 to 350 pulses with the original BBL. The original BBL is shown to rejuvenate the skin at a cellular level and create a more even complexion, and the BBL HERO provides these same results in a more comfortable and efficient manner.

You can achieve further results by combining the BBL HERO with other pigmentation treatments. In the past, we used to need to allow the skin to heal for a couple of weeks before implementing additional pigmentation treatments, but because of the advancements to the BBL HERO, this service can now be combined with Microneeding or other fractional laser services to achieve the desired result without injury to the skin.

 IPL

IPL is an acronym for Intense Pulsed Light therapy and is a procedure that uses optimal wavelengths of light to target the molecules responsible for skin pigmentation, resulting in an improved skin tone. This treatment is used to reduce sun damage, brown spots, and more to restore a more youthful appearance. IPL is one of the pigmentation treatments that can be used on different parts of the body, and it requires zero downtime.

Skincare Products

The pigmentation treatments are not just limited to our office. You can optimize the results from your treatment by using one of our pigment control products. Working a pigment control product in your daily routine can help keep your skin even and rejuvenated all season long (just don’t forget the SPF!) To help jumpstart your skin, we’re offering 20% off pigment control products all month long. Shop in our office or online to get started.
