PicoSure Laser for Tattoo Removal- Charleston, SC

Tattoo removal is easy with new advancements in technology at O’Neill Plastic Surgery. The new PicoSure laser tattoo removal system makes it quick and easy for you to erase tattoo ink for good. From the CynoSure category of lasers, this tattoo removal tool is trustworthy, approved, effective, and safe. If you need to get rid of your ex’s name on your arm, a tacky design on your ankle, or any other kind of tattoo that you regret, you may want to look into PicoSure tattoo removal.

How It Works

The PicoSure laser sends ultra-quick pulses of photomechanical heat energy to shatter the tattoo’s ink underneath the skin for complete removal of the tattoo. Once the laser breaks the ink particles apart, they are absorbed naturally in the body, resulting in overall clearance of the skin. For an average hand-sized tattoo, Dr. O’Neill estimates full clearance within 3 to 4 treatments. The PicoSure is the only picosecond laser platform able to treat the full-color spectrum of tattoo inks with its combination laser wavelength options.

How Long It Takes

PicoSure treatments are only about ten minutes each. They can be easily scheduled around your daily schedule, lunch breaks, or work routines. Usually, the treatments are scheduled around six to eight weeks apart. Depending on the size of the tattoo, within 3 to 4 of these treatments, your tattoo will be gone. With PicoSure technology, these treatments work faster than traditional “Q-Switched” tattoo removal systems with less pain and downtime. Patients can expect full clearance with fewer treatments.
